Koro E. Khamo

Koro E. Khamo is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Khamo Law, a Michigan personal injury law firm headquartered in Troy, Michigan. He represents individuals and families injured in car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, premises liability incidents, and other serious injury cases throughout Metro Detroit and across Michigan. His practice is built on strategic advocacy, personal attention, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results for injured individuals and their families.

Koro was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and has lived in Michigan since 1997, bringing a rich cultural perspective to his work. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Michigan, graduating magna cum laude. While at the University of Michigan, he served as President of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor organization for financial information students and professionals. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2016, where he completed the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute and received a Jurisprudence Achievement Award.

Koro is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and previously served as President of the Chaldean-American Bar Association. His professional involvement reflects his commitment to Michigan’s legal community and to advocating for individuals and families affected by serious injuries.

Koro’s work as a personal injury attorney has earned him numerous awards and professional recognitions. Since 2018, he has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He has also received Top 40 Under 40 recognition from both the National Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Attorneys. His contributions have included organizations and initiatives such as Adopt-A-Child, Adopt-A-Family, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Gleaners, Greening of Detroit, Junior Achievement, Make-A-Difference Day, Meals-on-Wheels, MLK Day, Project Homeless Connect, Student Tutoring, Vista Maria, Volunteer Income Tax Association, and Wigs for Kids.

Among his most personal acts of giving, Koro has twice donated his hair, contributing more than 20 inches to benefit young boys facing catastrophic and life-threatening cancers. His donations helped provide wigs intended to preserve confidence and dignity during difficult periods of treatment.

When he is not advocating for clients or supporting his community, Koro enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling internationally, and exploring new restaurants.
